However there are some things to keep in mind about bouncing the ball twice in pickleball.
First of all when the ball bounces twice in pickleball it is considered a “dead” ball.
This means that the point is over and the player who hit the ball cannot score a point on that particular play.
Secondly if the ball bounces twice in pickleball it must be hit by the paddle on the second bounce.
If the ball is not hit by the paddle on the second bounce then the point is awarded to the other team.

It depends on a number of factors such as the type of surface the ball is bouncing on the temperature humidity and wind conditions.
However a general rule of thumb is that a pickleball can bounce up to around 10 times on a hard surface such as concrete before it starts to lose its bounce.
On a softer surface such as grass the ball can bounce a few more times.
